Robert Arthur Hubert, 77, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away unexpectedly near his residence on April 11, 2025.
He was born in Jamestown, New York, on July 29, 1947, to the late Fernand (Fen) and Elizabeth (Betty) Hubert. Bob graduated from Warren Area High School, Warren, PA, in 1965. He has two daughters with his ex-wife, Lynda Bagnall, who survives.
His oldest daughter, Lisa (Dan) Schmidt, has two sons, Brett and Blake, and one daughter, Jade. They reside in Titusville, PA. Rachel (Chris) Bereksazi has a daughter, Sophia, and resides in West Hickory, PA. Also residing in West Hickory, PA, is Bob’s oldest grandson, Austin McFarland. Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn Frutiger Hubert, of Cape Coral, FL, whom he married on Dec. 22, 1998, in Bradford, PA. Bob is also survived by his step-children, Lisa (Tom) Bowser, and their two daughters, Kylie & Brandi of Barberton, Ohio, and Wendy (Mark) Frederick and their son, Gregory of Bradford, PA.
Bob was the oldest of four siblings, John (Billie Jean) Hubert of Ashville, N.Y., Sister Chris (Dave) Hunt of Guys Mills, PA., and Cathy Lowe, who preceded her brother in death. Bob is also survived by his beloved Labrador Retriever Roxy and cat Lucky.
He worked in sales (Food Industry, Insurance, Home Improvement) all his life until retirement.
Bob proudly served his Nation as a U.S. Army Infantryman in the Vietnam War from October 4, 1966, to September 24, 1968. He was also a member of the Cape Coral Social Club, Moose Lodge 2199,and American Legion Cambridge Springs Post 381.
Bob lived a life full of adventure and heart. An avid outdoorsman, some of his greatest joys were hunting and fishing. There was always a story to be told about his younger years of being outside.
In his later years, nothing brought Bob more pride and happiness than watching his grandchildren play sports. He watched many games during his time visiting Pennsylvania and enjoyed live streams and Game Changer when he was in Florida. His presence was a steady source of love and encouragement.
Visitation will be at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street,
The family will receive friends at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at which time a memorial service will be conducted with pastor Russel Hawkins, officiating.
Full military rites will be observed.
