Paulette Y. Haight

Paulette Yvonne (Morris) Haight, of New Castle, IN, passed into eternal glory on Sunday, May 11, 2025, after suffering from extended illness. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Paul Franklin Morris and Opal Pearl Morris, both of Pittsfield, PA; a brother Terry; and a grandson, Damian Kalan Haight. She is survived by her husband Rev. Thomas W. Haight, of New Castle, IN; three sons, Kevin (Anita) Haight of Meridian, Idaho, Krent Haight of Lisbon, OH, Kalan (Amanda) Haight of New Castle, Indiana, one daughter, Kanda Haight, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; her two loving sisters, Colleen Haight of Bern, Indiana, Natalie Morris of Sacramento, California; nine grandchildren, Courtney (Kevin) Wortham, Kayla (Wesley) Welch, Ashley (Jake) McFaul, Dexter Haight, Kaylan (Pat) Vallejo, Kendra (Austin) Gervasi, Aubree (Lee) Cardwell, Shayla Haight, Evan Haight; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Paulette served faithfully alongside her husband as a pastor’s wife for 47 years prior to their retirement in 2022. She served in many roles as church pianist, organist, women’s missionary society member, reading course secretary, Sunday School teacher, children’s church ministry, church janitor and many other roles that were placed in her hands. Tom and Paulette were Youngsville High School (PA) sweethearts. Paulette graduated from YHS in 1968. They attended the Pittsfield Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church as young people, and they were married there on Dec. 20, 1968. Tom and Paulette walked life’s road together faithfully for 56 years, serving in the military overseas, attending Hobe Sound Bible College, Hobe Sound, FL, serving as short term missionaries in Dominica and serving in the pastorate. Paulette loved music, playing the piano, singing, and having her children and grandchildren around her. She is now rejoicing, singing in the Heavenly choir, and worshiping at the feet of Jesus.

Friends and family will be received at the Pittsfield Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church in Pittsfield, PA, on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 11 am to noon at which time a funeral service will be held. Paulette will be laid to rest at the Riverside Cemetery, Pittsfield, PA, alongside her parents. There will be a private dinner for the immediate family immediately following the committal. McKinney Funeral Home in Youngsville have been entrusted with the arrangements.
