Michael Steven Williams

Michael Steven Williams
Michael Steven Williams, 64, born September 12, 1960, passed away peacefully on the May 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Frank and Barbara Williams, sister Terrie Akers, brother Robert Williams and infant brother Francis.
He is survived by his two children, son Scott (Jess) Williams and daughter Heather Williams who he loved dearly and was rightfully proud; two grandchildren, Beckett and Emmeline Williams who were the lights in their grandfather’s eyes, his brother Daniel (Terry) Williams and of course, his loving wife, Kim Stevenson, the love of his life, best friend and cherished fellow adventurer in all things.
A 1978 graduate of Warren Area High School and lifelong resident of Warren, Mike began his work life as a Sherrif in Warren County then moved briefly to PennDOT before finally embarking on a long career at Bell Atlantic (Verizon) where he retired in 2020.
In the long river of Mike’s life, one current always runs through: He was a man of the people; happiest when surrounded by family and friends, telling stories over a smoky campfire, hunting (in former years) and camping (in later years), exploring the world from the back of his Harley or the cab of his beloved ’54 Ford truck. Mike was a Maker too, a tinkerer, a talented man of many skills which he shared generously with the world at large, helping friends and not-yet-friends alike with his skills and sage advice. And that, I think, is what we’ll all miss the most: the generous, convivial Mike, showing up at your project with his warm wit, his folksy wisdom, his stories AND his toolbox to ease your burdens and fill your heart with love.
He will be deeply missed by the many whose lives he touched. Plans for a celebration of life will be announced.
He requested no donations, but thought that maybe, if you were inclined, you could quietly plant a memorial tree somewhere meaningful to you. He’d appreciate that.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t express our thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Cancer Care Center of Warren. We will be forever grateful for the kindness and exceptional care the team provided on Mike’s final journey. Thank you again.
