Martha L. Rodgers

She was born on Oct. 27, 1927, in Neiltown, PA, a daughter to the late Homer and Mabel (Baker) Nichols. Martha graduated from Erie Academy High School, and was employed by the State Hospital for a period of time before she spent many of her working years at the Warren County School District as a cafeteria manager, retiring from Youngsville High School.

Martha was more recently a member of the First Lutheran Church in Warren as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #478 where she was a Past Matron. Throughout Martha’s life she enjoyed baking, cooking, puzzles and Bingo.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Richard) McCorrison of Warren and Donna (Edward) Fudale of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandchildren, Kenneth (Amy) McCorrison, Phillip (Sarah) Rodgers, Brian Rodgers, Gabriella Fudale and Halina Fudale and her husband, Drew Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Sierra and Rileigh McCorrison; her niece and nephew, Debbie McCracken and Steve Nichols who she took care of for some time, as well as several other nieces, and nephews. Martha is also survived by her good friends, Joyce Kelly and Younghui “Chong” Waite.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Franklin Rodgers; her son, Bruce Duane Rodgers; her daughter in law, Susan Rodgers and her siblings, Helen Carlson, Harold Nichols, Dorothy Pederson, Mary Snyder, Jean Frischkorn and Robert Nichols as well as two infant siblings.

Per Martha’s wishes, no serviced will be held at this time.
