Kenneth E. Williams
Kenneth “Ken” Edward Williams, 83, of Tidioute, passed away May 16, 2025 at Warren General Hospital.
Ken was born Dec. 1, 1941 in Tidioute, the son of the late Arthur Dudley Williams and Lillian Shira Williams. Ken attended Tidioute Elementary School and then Milton Hershey School for Boys. He then joined the Army, serving from 1961 to 1964, where he earned his GED. After his years of service, he returned to Tidioute and worked for PennDot as a Construction Inspector. He married Sharon McGraw, who survives, on June 26, 1965. Following his retirement from PennDot in 1994, he worked for several years as a consultant for Mark Corey Associates in Erie.
Ken was a founding member of the American Legion Elzie E. Lynch Post 334 in Tidioute. He was also a member of Tidioute VFW Post 8803, where he was awarded an honorary lifetime membership due to his volunteer service. He belonged to Titusville Moose Lodge 84 and Sugar Grove AMVETS, and was a lifetime member of Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and Dudley Williams, brothers-in-law Tom McGraw and Paul Craft, and sister-in-law Karen Craft.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon; his three children, Laurie (Chris) Danielson of Warren, Donna Williams of Tidioute, and Mark Williams of Stockbridge, Vermont. He was a proud grandfather to Emilie (Torry) Heverley of Tidioute and their children, Liam and Weston; Tessa (Ryan) Card of Spring Creek; Mackenzie (Zach) Howard of Bradford and their baby on the way; Mitchell Rehe of Warren; Jamie (Adam) Salls of Williamstown, Vermont and their children, Maddox and Kendal; and Mike (Michelle) Miller of Randolph, Vermont and their children, Austin and Kadince. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Williams; sisters-in-law, Sandy Jamieson and Diane McGraw; and many nieces, and nephews.
You would rarely catch Ken without a box of Tic Tacs rattling around in his 100% cotton, American made, pocket tee. He enjoyed playing golf and channel surfing – never allowing anyone to watch an episode from start to finish. He loved teasing and telling jokes, spending time at Camp Sasquatch, and the chaos and laughter of his family. He will be fondly remembered as “Dedad” by his grandkids and will be deeply missed by all.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 11 am at Swedish Union Cemetery on Swede Road, Tidioute, PA 16351.
Memorial contributions can be made to Tidioute American Legion, Elzie E. Lynch Post 334, 16424 Route 62, Tidioute, PA 16351.
