Judith A. Kahle, 89 of Youngsville, PA, died Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA.
Born on Nov. 26, 1935 in Sigel, PA, she was the daughter of Chester M. and Anna C. (Raught) Stahlman.
After marrying, Judy moved to Youngsville in 1963 and lived there her entire life. Judy was an employee of the Warren County School District as a teacher’s aide for 19 years with 17 years at Pittsfield Elementary School and two years at Youngsville Elementary/Middle School before retiring in 2004. She greatly enjoyed her years at Pittsfield Elementary School, being able to work with so many students.
She also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and enjoyed all the activities that the Scouts participated in while her sons were growing up. Judy enjoyed planting flowers every spring and feeding birds in the winter. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was able to do some traveling in later years and visited some historical sites and got to see the ocean. She was very giving and caring each and every day. She will be sorely missed by her sons.
Surviving are three sons, David Kahle of Jacksonville, FL, Stephen Kahle of Erie, PA and John Kahle of Warren, PA; three grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Linsey Kahle of Joint Base Andrews, MD, Lisa Kahle of Kissimmee FL, and SrA Leanna Kahle of Royal Air Force Alconbury, UK; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents, were her husband, Ray Kahle, sister, Sylvia (Stahlman) Say, brother, Thomas Stahlman and granddaughter, Lauren Rachel Kahle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St., Youngsville, PA 16371 from 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held there on Saturday, May 17 at 11am with the Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastor of the Interfaith Chapel in Warren, officiating. A private burial will follow in the Youngsville Cemetery.
