Janet D. Maze

Janet was born Feb. 23, 1932, in Mill Hall, PA, the daughter of the late Herman K. and Mary E. (Levi) Borger. She graduated from high school in Snow Shoe, PA. She was employed as a Psychiatric Technician at Warren State Hospital from which she retired in 1969.

Janet was a longtime member of the North Warren Presbyterian Church, the North Warren Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, the North Warren Fire Department, and was very active in the Fire Police for many years.

Janet is survived by her three children, Michele Clark and husband Richard II of Haines City, FL, Lou Anne Maze of Grenada Hills, CA, and Janene Zaffino and husband Dave of North Warren; grandchildren, Alicia (Jonathan) Bennett, Kayla (Matthew) Smith, and Riley Zaffino; four great-granddaughters; siblings, Bonita O’Rorke of Snow Shoe, PA, Gail English of Snow Shoe, PA, and David (Martha) Borger of Pine Glenn Karthaus, PA; and several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death on March 2, 2019, by her husband, David L. Maze, whom she married on Dec. 22, 1955.

Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc, 1003 Penna. Ave., East, Warren, PA, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm, and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 am, with Reverend Jeff Ewing, pastor, First Lutheran Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave., Warren, PA.
