James W. Mead

He was born in Warren on Jan. 6, 1961 a son of the late Wyllis W. and Carol S. Stewart Mead. He was a 1979 graduate of Warren High School.

Jim was a meat cutter at Loblaws in Warren for a number of years. Later, he was a Supervisor for the PA Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Erie. He was forced to leave that position due to health problems. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Mead.

Jim is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Luebbert Mead. They were married on May 5, 1990. He is further survived by his daughter, Sarah Mead of Erie; two brothers, Dan Mead and his wife Wendy of State College, PA, and Jeff Mead of Warren; one sister, Carolyn Mead-Fry and her husband Corky of Warren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the C. S. Warthman Funeral Home, Inc., 69 N. Main St., Union City on Saturday from noon to 2 PM and are invited to attend a service there at 2 PM with Pastor Don MacMartin officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
