Christina Lynn Montgomery

Christina Lynn Montgomery, 73, of Youngsville, Pa., passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, after a brave and valiant four-year battle with cancer.

She was born on July 30, 1951, in Oil City, Pa., a daughter to the late Arthur Robert Montgomery and Rev. Joanne Guy (Heffernan) Wilson. Chris had her B.S. Degree in Music through Clarion University and also her Masters in Guidance through Edinboro University. She was the music teacher at Youngsville High School, affectionately known by her students as “Ms. Moe”, retiring from there after 25 years. Chris enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and entertaining at her backyard pallet fires.

As the last 6 months became harder for Chris, Pastor Nancy Schwanke of the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church was so kind and helped guide her through her faith.

Chris is survived by her children, Pamela Mifflin and Michelle Fellner, her grandchildren Samantha, Caitlin, Carolyn and Ryan; her great-granddaughter, Averi, and her brothers Gerald M. Montgomery and Todd Wilson. She is also survived by her “framily” members, Tim and Stephanie Maze and Donna Murphy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her “framily”, D. Luther and Bob Murphy.

Per Chris’ wishes, no services will be held at this time.
