Brenda Ann Smith

Brenda Ann Smith, 61, of Greene Township, passed away at her residence after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Warren, Aug. 9, 1963 a daughter of Rodney F. Smith of Pittsfield, PA and the late Delores (Anthony) Smith.

She attended Sugar Grove Elementary School and was a graduate of Eisenhower High School. Brenda grew up outside of Sugar Grove on a farm located on Stillwater Road. Brenda loved the outdoors, gardening, hunting and horses. She was the first Rodeo Princess in 1985 at the Flying W. Rodeo. She raised and showed Morgan Horses for many years.

Brenda also raised Newfoundland dogs. She was known for her ability to train and work with troubled horses. Brenda loved to travel to shows.

She was also a security officer with RPECC Security Services with Greg. She loved helping people. She was very caring, fun-loving passionate lady who was exciting and young at heart. She will be missed terribly. Brenda loved skidding and sawing lumber, helping to build a home in the Warren, Pa. Chapman Dam area. Brenda loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them camping and laughing around a fire.

Besides her mother, she was preceded in death paternal grandparents, Freeman and Rena Smith and her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Viola Anthony. Survivors include her partner of 11 years and caregiver, Greg Braine, three children, Joshua Tucker (Carli Braine) of Warren, Sheena Walker of St. Mary’s and Seth Tucker (Lindsay) of Tyrone, PA., her siblings, Debra S. Oldaker (Larry) of Bridgeport, WV., Beth Penland (Kent) of Stoneboro, Lynn Smith of Warren and Daniel R. Smith (Rochelle Schell) of Sugar Grove, Ellen R. Smith (Dorie Bennett) of Sugar Grove, grandchildren, Trenton and Rowen Tucker, Kolton and Liam Braine, Caden and Gianna Casner and Jacob McDonald.

I could not have loved and cared more for any woman, nor could I have asked for none better. You will be greatly missed, Rest In Peace, Greg.
