Max Leonard Collins
Max Leonard Collins, 73, of Russell, passed away following a brief battle with cancer on Friday September 6, 2024 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence in Warren, PA.
He was born June 19, 1951 in Nelsonville, OH to the late Max and Dorothy (Sorrell) Collins. He graduated from Youngsville High School and attended Edinboro University. Max worked in concrete construction in Warren County for most of his life. He retired from John Anderson Construction in 2015. He loved and celebrated the outdoors through hiking, travel, fishing and hunting. He attended the Youngsville Free Methodist Church as a youth and recently returned to his faith.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Donna Frederick, a daughter, Gwyn (Gary) Schneider of Fernley, NV, a granddaughter, Samantha and two great grandchildren, as well as his siblings, Glenn (Sue) Collins of Harmony, PA and Nora Jane (Wilson) Abbott of Youngsville.
Besides his parents, Max was preceded in death by an older brother, Edward Collins.
Per Max’s wishes, no services will be held.
