Gerald L. Edwards, 90, of Spring Creek, PA, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Rome Twp, PA on July 19, 1934, a son to the late Eddie and Ruby (Sutton) Edwards. Jerry worked at the National Forge for 26 years, mowed lawn for the Rouse Home for 26 years and when he wasn’t working, he cared for the farm his family had for nearly 20 years. Jerry had a love for horseback riding and in his younger years, he enjoyed playing ball. He was a member of the Pittsfield Otterbein Global Methodist Church and belonged to the Equine Council for more than 30 years.

Jerry is survived by his children, Joel (Patti) Edwards of Youngsville, Esther Nickerson of Clymer, NY, Mike Nobles of Dunkirk, NY, William (Mindi) Nobles of Irvine, Belinda Krawl of Youngsville, Geanna Hardy of Union City and Maryl (Tim) Curtis of Knox, PA; 2 sisters, Leona Burrows of Pleasantville, PA and Linda (Perry) Tillitson of Titusville, PA; his daughter-in-law, Edie Gardner and numerous grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline (Pulli) Edwards, his second wife, Nancy (Jukes) Edwards; his son, Steven (Linda) Edwards; his son-in-law, Bryan Nickerson; his great-grandson, Hayden Edwards and 3 siblings, Eldon Edwards, Lucille Brown and Kenneth Edwards.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at the Otterbein Global Methodist Church, 258 Dalrymple St, Pittsfield, PA 16340, from 10am-12pm at which time a funeral service will be held there with the Rev. Bruce Davis, retired pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Otterbein Global Methodist Church or to Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park St, North East, PA 16428.
