Cynthia (Cindy) Hartman

Cynthia (Cindy) Hartman, (84) passed away at home in Dallas, Texas, on July 19, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Cindy was born in Warren Pennsylvania to Chester and Helen Park on May 16, 1939. She graduated from Warren High School in 1957, and earned a degree at Penn State, where she was honored with Phi Beta Kappa membership.

She met her future husband, Richard Hartman, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, where she was working at Mellon Bank. Shortly after their marriage in 1964, they moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where he worked for the Army Missile Command, and then started a high-tech small business.

Cindy was a volunteer with the Red Cross and at the Huntsville Public Library. She played many roles in supporting Randolph School. Later in life she was very active in Rocket City Boxing for Parkinson’s. She loved reading good books, watching British Mystery shows with her family, and debating politics. In 2021 Cindy and Richard moved to Dallas to be near their daughter’s family.

She is survived by her husband Richard; son Keith Hartman of Porto, Portugal; daughter Susan (David Guedry) Hartman and grandson Jack Guedry of Dallas, and brother Jack Parkand his wife Dorothea of Warren, PA.
