Linda L. Lester

Linda lived in Warren all of her life until 2003 when she moved to North Carolina. Throughout her life she had been employed in banking, at Blair Corporation and at Kohl’s where she retired in 2017.

She enjoyed shopping, crafting, knitting, making puzzles, watching football and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed trips to the beach, lighthouses and volunteering at Kohl’s Cares events.

Linda is survived by her daughter Denise L. Machuga and son in law Joe, many nieces and nephews and her beloved Sadie Machuga whom kept her company and stole her puzzle pieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Paul (Sonny) Zock Jr., Sandra Zock and Rebecca Parish.

There will be no visitation as to Linda’s wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held in Warren on a future date. A special thank you to the Good Samaritan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Norman Humane Society. Her family would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Trinity Ridge, Hickory NC, who provided her care during her final few months.
