Anita J. Zimmer

She was born April 1, 1951, in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of Donald Pearson and Myrtle Hays Pearson Walters. Anita was a lifelong Warren area resident and a 1969, graduate of Warren High School. In her youth, she volunteered as a candy striper with Warren General Hospital. She was employed with Warren State Hospital, as a Psychiatric Aide 2, retiring from there after 25 years employment. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She loved books, was an avid reader. She also loved to go on picnics, swimming, and cooking.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Zimmer and her fiance, Alex MacLees, both of Warren, PA.; granddaughter, Serena Haight; grandson Skylar Zimmer; sister, Barb Stanko and husband, Jim; brother, Chuck Pearson all of Warren, PA.; andseveral nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, April D. Zimmer who died Jan. 22, 2020, former husband and friend, Jack Zimmer, and step-father, Everett Walters.

Friends will be received at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, PA., on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 3 to 5 P.M. when a memorial service will be conducted at 5 P.M. with Rev. Bill Beatty, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Warren Public Library Association, 205 Market St., Warren, PA. 16365
