Julie C. Ross, 78, of Warren, PA passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, peacefully at her home. She was born on May 28, 1945, in Warren, Pennsylvania, the daughter of late Fred and Ruth (McGhee) Leonard. She was a 1963 graduate of Warren High School.
As a lifelong resident of Warren and member of Grace United Methodist church, Julie was secretary and administrative assistant for local companies, starting with Struthers Wells and ending at Pennco Industries during her working years. In between, during the years she was raising her family, she worked part time at Waldenbooks and the Hallmark cards store in the Warren mall.
Julie is survived by her husband of 55 years Anthony (Tony) Ross of Warren, whom she married on August 10, 1968; her children Tracy Ross Howard (Craig) of York PA, Tara Ross Figueroa (Kevin) of Flagstaff AZ, and Ryan Ross (Amy) of Las Vegas NV, and her sisters Mary Lynn Salerno (John) and Diane Zingone both of Warren. In addition, two grandchildren Emma and Max Howard, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Julie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She cherished deeply the time that she spent with her immediate and extended family as well as her friends, always enjoying both cooking and baking for them.
Services will be held at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Tuesday May 28, 2024. Visitation hours will be 11:00am-1:00pm with a service immediately following at the funeral home, with Reverend Bill Beatty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
