Bernice (Crippen) E. Close

Bernice was born to William and Louise Crippen, and was a graduate of Youngsville High. After high school, she went on to and graduated from the Hamot School of Nursing, eventually becoming the emergency room nursing supervisor. Bernice was a member of the Irvine Presbyterian Church. She loved spending time gardening, cooking and canning, and family gatherings.

Surviving Bernice are her husband David, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Laura Finlan and Mary Benedict; her brothers Claude Crippen and George Crippen.

Friends and family will be received at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St. Youngsville, PA., on Tuesday, May 14 2024 from 11am-12pm, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Dennis Ledebur officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Sanford Cemetery.
