Earl K. Edwards

Earl was born August 22, 1949, in Panama, NY, the son of the late Eben and Martha Starkweather Edwards. Earl was a 1967 graduate of the Panama High School,

He was employed at Quality Markets, and later Petrex of Warren, from which he retired. In retirement he drove school bus for the Warren County School District. Earl loved gardening, throwing horseshoes, and camping. He enjoyed playing drums and he liked to sing. Earl loved his family, his many friends, and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed animals and loved his cats. Earl was also an avid Buffalo Bills and a Yankees fan.

Earl is survived by his wife, Marsha D. (McAfoose) Edwards; a daughter, Kelly Edwards and companion Dan Drum of Frewsburg, NY; two sons, Brian Edwards and wife Jessica of Piqua, OH, and Earl “Tucker” Edwards Jr. of Russell, PA; three stepchildren, Ryan Houghton and wife Kelly of Warren, PA, Ian Houghton of Warren, and Aaron Houghton and wife Tricia, also of Warren; seven grandchildren, AJ, Macs, Jaxon, and Kassidy Edwards, Alexa Labarr, Cylas Houghton, and Emelia Houghton, all who affectionately knew him as “Pops”; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Edwards Schruers.

The family will receive friends at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Tuesday, April 16, from 6 to 8 pm, and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11 am on Wednesday, April 17, at 11am, with Ron Lewis, pastor, Faith Bible Church of Warren, officiating.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Lakewood Kitten Rescue, 2042 Winch Rd., Lakewood, NY 14750 or to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Fluvanna, NY 14701.
