Christopher William Lane

Christopher William Lane

Christopher William Lane, a loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 67. The middle of five children born to Daniel and Joyce (Ackman) Lane, he spent his childhood in Port Allegheny, Pennsylvania (aka P.A., PA) playing football, running track, and generally creating good-hearted shenanigans with his siblings and friends. He attended Penn State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and becoming a life- long Penn State football fan in the process. Early in his career, he worked in the banking industry, later switching to marketing and sales at Osram-Sylvania and KOA Speer Electronics. He met and married his wife of 42 years Kimberly (Abel) Lane while completing his MBA at St. Bonaventure University. Chris and Kim enjoyed traveling together, watching live sports, and sharing good food and drinks with friends.

They had two children, Jennifer (Travis) Myler and Daniel (Amber) Lane. Throughout their lives, Chris showed up for his children; attending countless school and athletic events across the region and state. Chris loved his children dearly, but maybe not quite as dearly as he loved his grandchildren, Isaac Myler and Riley Corrigan. Chris was dealt a hard hand (as many of us have been or will be) health wise. Throughout it all, he handled himself with grace; teaching us the values of perseverance and optimism through his example. We will think of him always, but especially whenever we enjoy some of his favorite things like listening to classic rock, visiting national parks, hearing the crowds roar WE AREÃ-PENN STATE, or drinking a craft beer.

Chris is now reunited with his cherished parents and in-laws (George and Mae\Abel), finding comfort in their loving presence once more.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by brothers Daniel (Terry), James (Kathie), and Martin Lane, as well as his favorite sister, Sarah.
