Beverly A. Landers

Beverly A. Landers, 91, of Sheffield, PA passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2024. She had been under the care of her daughter, Judy Landers for the last two and a half years and most recently by Hospice. Her son-in-law George Jashurek was a great help to both Beverly and Judy during this time.

She was born August 29, 1932, in Grove City, PA to the late Ernest Y. Bunting and Ruth E. Mohney Vashaw. She graduated from Eastern High School, Detroit, MI in 1950. She married her beloved late husband, Jack E. Landers on April 3, 1951, at Bethany Luthern Church, Sheffield, PA.

She attended Warren Business College as well as having employment at the Warren State Hospital at that time. After her children all attended school, she went to work at GTE Sylvania where she retired as an inspectorafter 26 ¢ years.

After retirement she and Jack became snowbirds to Apache Junction, Arizona where they enjoyed shuffleboard and shooting pool. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading mysterybooks and she had a love for music. She played Bridge and other card games at the Sheffield Hospitality Center with her friends. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers along with college and professional basketball and tennis.

She is survived by three daughters: Barbara A. Jashurek and husband George, of Sheffield, PA; Linda J. Post and husband, Wilbur, of Gilbert, AZ; and Judith E. Landers, of Tiona, PA; one son Jack W. Landers and wife Raynette, of Sheffield; four grandchildren, Collin D. Post and wife Janin, Winston-Salem, NC, Jenna L. Sharma and husband Tushar, of Rocharon, TX, Jessica Van Epps and husband Bruce, of Clarendon, PA and Jack W. Landers Jr. and wife Shauna, of Sheffield, PA; four great grandchildren: Keanu P. Kelley, Gino P. Van Epps, Jia Bee Sharma and Johnna R. Post. She is survived by her brother Robert E. Bunting, Sheffield, half-sister, Deborah Bunting, Ithaca, MI, stepbrother Rodney Vashaw, Apex, NC and stepsister Joyce Sargent, Lake City, PA.

Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Jack E. Landers, a half- brother, Richard Bunting, stepfather Page Vashaw and stepmother Annabelle Bunting.

There will be no public visitation. A private burial was held at the Sheffield Cemetery. A celebration of Life will be held later this year at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to the Sheffield Hospitality Center and Hospice of Warren County.
