William A. “Bill” Stec

Bill was born on September 10, 1953 in Titusville, PA, a son of the late Walter and Kay Serafin Stec.

Bill was a graduate of St. Marks Seminary in Erie, PA.

He had been employed as a manufacturing engineer for General Dynamics in Saco, Maine from where he retired.

Bill was a member of St. Titus Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and hiking. He enjoyed visiting National Parks and on one of his excursions, stayed in Sedona, AZ for several months exploring the region. He also enjoyed reading U.S. history.

Bill is survived by a son, Jeremy Stec and his companion Dee Reynolds of Titusville; a step-granddaughter, Lahna Schenberg; two sisters, Dr. Rita Stec and husband Lance Eldred of Palm Desert, CA, and Jane Stewart of Madison, OH; a brother, Thomas Stec and wife Marina of Mission, TX; his former wife, Laura Yashinski of Athens, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Stec and a brother-in-law, Curt Stewart.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354 on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Titus Church with Fr. Christopher Barnes as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.
