Walter P. Boll Jr.

Walter P. Boll Jr., 91, of Clarendon, PA, and formerly of Erie, PA, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at his residence.

Walter was born April 23, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Walter P. Boll Sr. and Lucy (Morton) Boll. He graduated South Hills high school in Pittsburgh and then served in the U. S. Army from 1953-1954 during the Korean War with Honorable discharge in 1961. He was employed as a baker at Thorne’s BiLo for many years, retiring at the age of 78. He owned Boll’s pastry shop in Erie from 1958-1976 with his father working along his side at times. Walter came from a family of long time bakers. Walter was a member of the Warren Alliance Church. He was recently honored as a Warren County veteran on the Buffalo/Niagara honor flight to the Korean veteran’s memorial in Washington, DC.

Walter is survived by his two children, Cynthia Lindberg of Clarendon, Paul Boll and wife Robin of Peekskill, NY, and two grandchildren raised as children, Danielle Boll Belony and husband of Greenville, PA, and Christina Boll of NC; grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, and Joseph Lindberg; many great grandchildren; brother, Charles Devillo Boll of Jacksonsville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian L. (Bedow) Boll; second wife, Beulah M. (Fox) Boll; brothers, Samuel Boll and Ed Boll; and sisters, Lucy Boll and MaryAnn Sena.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

Burial will be at North East Cemetery, North East, PA.
