Barry N. Simon Sr.

Barry was born December 11, 1945, in St. Mary’s, PA, the son of the late Harold and Grace (Bloomgren) Simon. He was a 1963 graduate of Warren High School and served in the U. S. Army. Barry was employed at Solar Electric- Phillips Lighting as a supervisor for 21 years. He then worked at Osram-Sylvania in maintenance from which he retired.

Nig enjoyed gardening and canning. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a jack of all trades. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Nig is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jewel E. (Sherman) Simon, whom he married on February 25, 1967; three children, Barry N. Simon Jr. of Warren, Carrie (Robert) McMeans of Jamestown, NY, and Lizabeth (Matthew) Anderson of Ashville, NY; four grandchildren, Katie Wirtz, Morgan Genberg, Madison Anderson, and Zachary Anderson; siblings, Gary (Pam) Simon of Jamestown, NY, and John Simon of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Nig was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Atwell.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
