Donna J. Anderson

She was born on May 2, 1943 in Kane, PA, the daughter of the late Bruce and Helen Smith. Donna was a 1961 graduate of Sheffield High School. She continued her education and graduated from WCA Hospital School of nursing in 1964 being a student of its last graduating class. She gained employment at WCA Hospital in Jamestown. Working in the recovery room Donna was a kind, compassionate and caring nurse. After raising her children, she returned to work at Brookdale and Hultquist Place assisted living.

Donna had a great sense of humor and was known by many for her quick wit. She loved animals especially her cats. Her favorite cat being “Ralphie.” Donna loved to read and could often be found reading a good murder mystery novel.

She is survived by her two children Robert (Janine) Anderson (Jayne) of Jamestown, NY and daughter Kate Burnett (Matthew) of Celoron, NY. She is further survived ty five grandchildren Evan and Benjamin Anderson of Jamestown, NY and Madelyn, Ryan, and Amy Burnett of Celoron, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents the late Bruce and Helen Smith and her sister Martha Smith.

There will be no calling hours or services observed. Private burial will take place in the Sheffield Cemetery at a later date.
