Nancy Waite

She was born in Sugar Grove, PA on Jan. 27, 1938, a daughter to the late Burt and Lois (Brown) Schoonover. Nancy was the Secretary for Wilcox Brothers True Value in Sugar Grove as well as the Custodian for the Post Office for many years. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Chandlers Valley United Methodist Church where she played the piano. She enjoyed puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles and baking cookies and pie. Everyone loved her desserts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dave Waite, who she married on April 16, 1966; her children, Kristy (Matthew) Creacraft of Corry, Clark Waite of Lakewood, Lynn (Tammy) Waite of Youngsville and Marcy Stafford of Warren; a brother, Wayne (Nancy) Schoonover of Sugar Grove; her grandchildren, Paul, Sara, Caleb and Kaliann and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Autumn.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her grandson, Ethan Waite.

Family & friends will be received on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 4-7pm at the Chandlers Valley UM Church, 9215 Jackson Run Road, Sugar Grove, PA 16350, and for 1 hour prior to A funeral service that will be held there on Thursday at 11 am with the Rev. Ethan Shearer & Rev. Larry Condon, officiating.

Burial will take place in Chandlers Valley cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Chandlers Valley United Methodist Church or to the Sugar Grove VFD, 27 Wilson Street, Sugar Grove, PA 16350.
