Nancy Waite

She was born in Sugar Grove, PA on Jan. 27, 1938, a daughter to the late Burt and Lois (Brown) Schoonover. Nancy was the Secretary for Wilcox Brothers True Value in Sugar Grove for many years. She was a member of the Hill and Dale Garden Club, past member of the Sugar Grove fireman’s auxiliary and the Chandlers Valley United Methodist Church where she played the piano for many years. She loved her family, cats, flowers, word finds, books, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dave Waite, whom she married on April 16, 1966; her children, Clark Waite of Lakewood, Lynn (Tammy) Waite of Youngsville, Marcy Stafford of Warren, and Kristy (Mathew) Creacraft of Corry; a brother, Wayne (Nancy) Schoonover of Sugar Grove; her grandchildren, Paul (Sara) Waite, Caleb and Kaliann Waite and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, and Autumn Waite.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her grandson, Ethan Waite.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 4-7pm at the Chandlers Valley UM Church, 9215 Jackson Run Road, Sugar Grove, PA 16350. A funeral service will be held there on Thursday at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior to the service with the Rev. Ethan Shearer and Rev. Larry Condon, officiating.

Burial will take place in Chandlers Valley cemetery.
