Carolyn Louise Slider

Carolyn worked many years in Social Services and served as Medical Staff Secretary at Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA. She developed her career as a Registered Nurse at Shriner’s Hospital in Erie, PA, SCI Cambridge Springs and UH Conneaut Medical Center in Conneaut, Ohio.

Through her years of hospital service, she developed many long-term friendships, and had a wonderful network of friends. Carolyn was a graduate of Conneaut High School and was active in planning class reunions. Carolyn’s maternal and paternal aunts, uncles and cousins were an important part of her life and she remained close with family members in Michigan and Ohio throughout her life.

Carolyn is survived by her brother Jim (Katie) Slider of Tennessee, daughter Rebecca (Tim) Hanneman of Titusville, PA, grandson Douglas “DJ” (Ashley Stowers) Bowers, step-grandchildren Olivia (Matt) Springer of Jefferson, and Andrew Hanneman of Austinburg, and great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Whitney, Kaci, and Mason.

Carolyn passed away peacefully at the home of her companion Jack Soltis. At her request no calling hours or service will be held.
