William E. Darling Jr.

He was born on February 20, 1939, in Youngsville, PA, a son to the late William and Myrtle (Sullivan) Darling, Sr. Bill graduated from Youngsville High School in 1957. After serving in the United States Army, Bill started work at the National Forge as an Electrician and eventually became a General Foreman retiring in 1999 after 35 years.

He was a member of the Youngsville American Legion Post 658, AMVETS Post 50 and the Brokenstraw Fish & Game Club. Bill enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting and 4 wheeler rides. He was a lifelong trap shooter and liked to golf becoming an active member of the Youngsville Senior Golf League. He liked to tell stories and loved spending time with his grandchildren; they were his everything.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Kosiorek) Darling, who he married on November 18, 1967 in Erie, PA; his children, Jeffrey (Michelle) Darling of Warren, PA, Susan (Wenzel) Soliday of Youngsville, PA, and Patrick (Ronda) Darling of Youngsville, PA; a brother, Donald Darling of Clarendon, PA; his grandchildren, Nathen and Abby Carr and Gwendolyn and Olivia Darling; a sister in law, Betty Darling and a brother in law, Ronald Kosiorek.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Eleanor Satterlee, Myrna Haight, Ronald Darling, Carolyn Hallberg and Wayne Darling.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
