William E. Boger II

William E.“Bill” Boger, II, 60, of Youngsville, PA., passed away due to heart failure with family at his bedside on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. Bill was born January 30, 1963, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Barbara Luff Boger of Warren, PA., and the late Dr. William L. Boger.

Bill was a resident of the Warren area most of his life. He was a 1981 graduate of The Gow School in East Aurora, N.Y. and attended Westminster College. Bill also served in the US Navy and graduated from Erie Institute of Technology. He was previously employed in several roles within the wholesale food and automotive industries. He was an avid reader, a lover of music and film, and an ardent poet.

“Uncle Bo” was his nieces’ and nephews’ biggest fan. His sincere warmth and enduring sensitivity will be greatly missed but cherished forever in the hearts of his beloved and loving family and friends.

In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his sister, Lorin Boger and her husband, John Kirk, of Gulf Breeze, FL; his brother, Dr. Paul Boger and his wife, Vivien, of Warren, PA; his brother Luke Boger and his wife, Sarah Edwards-Boger, of Sugar Grove, PA; several cousins; and many adoring nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gwendolyn Boger, his infant brother, Christian Boger, many well-loved aunts and uncles, and his best dog ever, Duke.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be conducted at a later date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to First Lutheran Church at 109 W. Third Avenue, Warren, PA, 16365, or to K9s for Warriors at www.k9sfor warriors.org.
