Herman L. Atwood passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25th. He was born on October 17, 1946 in Warren to the late Claude and Edna Atwood. He was a proud member of Sheffield High School class of 1965 and a 1971 graduate of Edinboro State College. He retired from United Refining Company after 30 years of employment.
Herm was a competitive runner and biker. He was actively involved in many other sports as well as coaching several teams and individuals.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; daughter, Allison Madigan (Mike); son, Chad (Hayden Fawcett); and three grandchildren, Makayla, Brayden and Brody Madigan. He also leaves behind sisters, Pat Warner, Sonia Atwood and Emily Atwood, and brothers, Ed, Bruce and Howdy Atwood.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
