Emery L. Leonard

Emery L. Leonard, 80, of Warren, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA, following a recent illness.

Emery was born January 1, 1943, in Warren, PA, the son of the late William “Ted” Leonard and Elizabeth Ferry Leonard. He attended Warren High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served as an MP in Anchorage, Alaska. He was the owner and operator of Tiny Town of Warren and later worked at United Refinery in the security department. He most recently attended Praise Fellowship Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 135 and the Sheffield VFW. Emery was also a former member of the Masonic Shrine and former member of the Elks Lodge 223. He enjoyed golfing and especially enjoyed his family and friends.

Emery is survived by his children, Beth McCullough and husband Gale of Warren, and Jeff Leonard of Tiona, PA and girlfriend, Lynn; his good friend and companion Carol McArthur, of Russell, PA; a sister, Joyce Mucha and husband Bud of St. Petersburg, Fl; two grandchildren, Sarah McCullough, and Scott McCullough; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Emery is preceded in death on July 13, 2014, by his wife, Slyvia J. Abraham Leonard, whom he married on September 28, 1963; a brother, William Leonard; and a sister, Lammie Leonard.

Friends may be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at which time a funeral service will be held with Reverend Bill Beaty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

The family is asking that memorial contributions may be made to friends of the Rouse Home, 701 Rouse Ave., Youngsville, PA.
