Sandra Olson Fahnders, 74, of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 at Berea Health & Rehab. She was born on Dec. 7, 1948 in Warren, PA the daughter of the late Russell C. and Betty Jane (Loomis) Olson. She worked in health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey R. Fahnders of Fredericksburg, VA; one sister, Sharon Westerlund (Richard) of Fredericksburg, VA; one niece, Betty Westerlund, two great nieces and two great nephews of Fredericksburg, VA.
While at Berea Health & Rehab, Sandra participated in many activities including weekly outings, bingo, and cooking classes. Sandra always had a smile on her face when visitors came to see her.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 at Borden Funeral Home, 203 W. Main St., Sheffield, PA at 12 noon with burial to follow in Sheffield Cemetery. Pastor Ruth Ann Varrato will preside the service at noon at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 10-12 prior to the service.
