On Saturday, April 29, 2023, after a prolonged illness, Cynthia Ann Huber Kifer, went into the arms of her Heavenly Father. Cynthia was affectionately known by her family and friends as Cindi.

Cynthia was born on March 13,1950, a daughter of the late William and Chelcie Burford Huber.

Cynthia was a graduate of Warren Area High School with the Class of 1968. Cynthia was a Warren, PA resident until 2016 when she and her late husband, Jeffrey L. Kifer moved to Connellsville, PA.

Cynthia worked as an assistant to the late, Dr. Richard Snyder. She also worked at Christian Life Book Store in Warren. She lovingly cared for over 80 children in her home, with many of those children continuing to be in touch with her over the years. She also worked in the childcare program at the Warren YMCA upon her retirement.

Cynthia was an active member of the Connellsville Church of God, as well when she lived in Warren at the First Church of God. Her love for children continued in the church helping with VBS and serving on the Christian Board of Education and served as Nursery coordinator. She was a member of the WCG (Women of the Church of God) and CWC (Christian Women’s Connection) and served as President and other various offices in the local and state levels. She and her husband enjoyed being a part of the bowling leagues in Warren, mostly at Penn Lanes. As a family they enjoyed going to Hershey Park and to various sports halls of fame.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Matthew J. Kifer of Uniontown, PA and the love of her life, grandson, Luca Kai Kifer, whom he loved to call “Grandma.” Her siblings, William “Tom” (Janet) Huber of Pendleton, Indiana, Margaret Palco of Pasadena, Texas, and Lois (Terry) Callender of Chillicothe, Ohio. Nieces and nephew, Andrew (Lindsay) Huber, Flagstaff, Arizona, Jill Rodgers, Pendleton, Indiana, Ashley (Aaron) Neidig, Granville, Ohio and Allison Callender, Logan, Ohio. Extended family of in laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, Aunts, and cousins.

Cynthia was proceeded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jeffrey L. Kifer and her infant daughter, Bethany Jo Kifer.

Ferguson Funeral Home, Uniontown, Pa will be in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
