Jane Elizabeth Lewis

Jane was born December 2, 1953, in Westfield, NY, the daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Washburn Barden. Raised in Ripley, NY, Jane was a graduate of Ripley High School. She then attended the Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. Jane later enrolled in the accelerated nursing program at Mercyhurst College and became a Registered Nurse. She worked at the Warren General Hospital and later at St. Vincent Medical Center in Erie, PA, from which she retired. Jane was a devout member of the Faith Bible Church of Warren. She was also Warren Area High School Cheerleading coach and truly enjoyed her time with that.

Jane will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Lewis, whom she married on August 26, 1978; a daughter, Darcy Lewis and her partner Ashley Garner, of Denver, CO; a son, Boyd Lewis and his wife Kristin, of Kane, PA, two granddaughters, Sloan and Sadie Lewis; a sister, Deborah Curtis and husband Steve, of Bloomington, IN; two brothers, Wally Barden and wife Dibbie of Arizona, and Dan Barden and wife Lynne of Plymouth, IM; and her mother-in-law E. Rosemary Lewis of Cadillac, MI.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death on May 13, 2010, by her son, Bradley D. Lewis.

Friends and family will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc. 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, on Tuesday, January 3, from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, at the Faith Bible Church at 2334 Jackson Run Rd, Warren, at 11 am, with Joel Spencer and Joe Casey, co-officiating.

Burial will follow in the Foster Cemetery, Lander, PA.
