Sylvia J. (Dunst) Yosten

She was born in Erie, July 10, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Willard) Dunst.

Sylvia graduated from East High School in 1948. During and following high school she worked at Corrugated Box Company in Erie. She moved to Warren in 1963 and worked at Meadow Brook Dairy and the Warren Area School District. She returned to the Erie area in 1985 and later moved to Girard where she has resided since.

She was an active member of the Lake City Presbyterian Church, where she was President of the Women’s Club there.

Sylvia dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, they were her life and a great addition to the family. Sylvia was also well known for her unique and contagious laughter, which was part of her every conversation! She also had a great love for her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn “Pete” Yosten, whom she married November 26, 1952, in Westfield, NY; a daughter, Maxine J. Yosten; son in law, William E. Weldon; a sister, Theresa Oatman and a brother, Sonny Dunst.

She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her daughter, Karen Y. Weldon of Warren and son, Jeffrey G. Yosten of Girard; her grandchildren, Tara Keller (Nathan), Jada Weldon, Charles E. Weldon (Jenna), Dakota Gonzalez (Daniel), Spencer Brown (Natalie); great grandchildren, Rylan Fitzgerald, Lily, Keller, and Presley Weldon, Charlotte Keller, and Calvin Weldon also many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
