Trevor Chambers, 51, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack while on a bike ride along the American River Parkway.
Trevor grew up in Youngsville, Pa., where he was active in sports and the church youth group. He loved running cross country & track and playing basketball and baseball. His running career continued in college when he attended Indiana University Pennsylvania (IUP). After two years at IUP, Trevor moved to California, and completed his degree in business finance at Golden Gate University, San Francisco. Trevor worked full time at Enterprise Rent-A-Car while completing his studies at Golden Gate. It was while working at Enterprise that he met his wife, Kimberly.
In 1995, Trevor moved to the Sacramento area and married Kimberly Valencia in August 1996. Trevor worked in commercial finance for 27 years, most recently as VP senior underwriter at Bank of San Francisco. Trevor was involved as a chapter leader with the Sacramento Risk Management Association (RMA) for many years.
Trevor and Kimberly started their family in 2003 and have two sons: Zachary and Logan. Trevor was a loving and dedicated father. He coached both boys’ little league teams and served on the Arden Park Little League board. Trevor volunteered at his sons’ swim meets and attended all their soccer games, cross country races and track meets. Trevor was an avid cyclist and could be seen riding on the American River Parkway most weekends. He also loved boating and was happiest driving the boat while his boys were wakeboarding or riding the wake foil. Trevor loved vacationing in Lake Tahoe and Maui with family and friends.
Trevor is survived by his wife, Kimberly Chambers; and two sons: Zachary (19) and Logan (16); his parents Don and Helen Chambers of Youngsville, Pa.; his brother, Jeffery Chambers and sister-in-law, Cherie of Erie, PA; his brother, Kevin Chambers and sister-in-law, Margaret of Clayton, Calif.; his sister, Deanne Hendrickson and brother-in-law, Scott of Youngsville, Pa.; his niece, Aubree Hendrickson of Waterford, Pa.; and nephew Levi Hendrickson of Williston, N.D.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Second Street, Youngsville, Pa.
