Mary Lou McKinney

Mary Lou McKinney, 86, of Youngsville, Pa, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the Rouse Warren County Home.

She was born on April 27, 1936 in Kane, Pa, a daughter to the late Richard and Genevieve (Hammerbeck) Phillips. Mary Lou grew up in Warren and graduated from Warren Area High School. She was the borough secretary for years and also a secretary for the National Forge and Carol’s Cabinet Shop. Mary Lou was a member of the card club and the United Methodist Church’s Mary Martha Circle. She taught Sunday school for many years and enjoyed arts and crafts, especially making Christmas wreaths.

She is survived by her loving husband, John McKinney, her sons, Randy (Kay) McKinney of Youngsville, Michael (Dina) McKinney of Los Gatos, CA and Jeff McKinney of Binghamton, NY; her brother, Donald (Mary Lou) Phillips of Poquoson, VA; her grandchildren, Matt, Amy, Andrew, Lauren, Cody and Ryan and 2 great-grandchildren Mila and Aela.

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard “Bud” Phillips and Connie Scott.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
