Ruth Marie VanOrd

Ruth was born on June 27, 1961, in Kiser, W.Va., the daughter of the late James Davis and Leona Cross Davis.

Ruth was a nurse’s aid for 15 years at Cambridge Warren. She attended the Scandia Church and loved farming and her family. She will long be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Orrie W. VanOrd, whom she married in 1977; children: Justin W. VanOrd and companion, Miranda of Warren, Pa., Orrie J. VanOrd of Scandia, Pa., Ashley VanOrd and fiance, Scott Wagner of Warren, Pa.; grandchildren: Hannah Dawn Cobb and Abel David Wagner; sister, Kathy Davis; several nieces and nephews; god-daughter, Amy Robinault; and best friend, Carmen Card.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by daughter, Gloria VanOrd, who passed in 2007; brother, James Davis; and infant sister, Justina VanOrd.

Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, Pa,, on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time a funeral service will be held, with the Rev. James Swanson, pastor, Pleasant Community Church, officiating.
