Paul Hugus, 73, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully June 19, 2022, in his home with his family by his side. He was born August 6, 1948, in New Kensington, PA, a son of the late Dorothy (Koept) Hugus, Glenn and step-mother, Anna Kaufmann Hugus. He resided in Warren PA until retiring in 2004.
He was a US Air Force Veteran having served from 1971-1974.
Paul graduated in 1966 from Washington Twp. High School. A graduate from Edinboro University and received his master’s degree from Penn State University. He was an Elementary School teacher and Athletic Director for 34 years at Tidioute School, Warren County PA. Paul loved teaching and coaching. He was very proud of his time spent at Tidioute. He was also the owner of Country Living Care Center for 10 years.
Paul loved boating, camping, cars, The Beach Boys, and spending time with this family especially his grandsons.
Paul is survived by his loving Wife of 18 years, Shirley (Swisshelm) Hugus; Daughter, Lee Ann (Jason) and their children Jesse Lee, Layton, Joanne and Tiffani and Son, Brian (Angela) and their children Ryder and Seth.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Vaia Funeral Home, Inc., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, PA 15626, (724) 468-1177. A service for Paul will be held in the funeral home Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Pastor H. Clifton Foster officiating, followed by Full Military service presented by American Legion Post 981 at the funeral home.
