Patricia L. Miller
Patricia L. Miller, 60, of N. Warren, Pa., died Saturday, June 11, 2022, at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa., after complications from a stroke.
Patty was born Nov. 13, 1961, in Jamestown, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Robert Alcorn and Kathleen Wilcox Alcorn Clark of Columbus, Ohio.
She was a 1979 graduate of Randolph Jr. & Sr. High School, Randolph, N.Y. She earned an associate degree in 1981 from Jamestown Community College and a bachelors degree in communications in 1983 from Clarion State College.
She was employed with Warren County Housing Authority as finance director and had previously been employed with the Mark Phillips State Farm Insurance Agency.
Patty was a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, served on their finance committee for the past five years, taught religious education and the confirming faith group.
She enjoyed hosting holiday dinners for her family, going out to dinner with friends, playing golf and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, putting puzzles together with them and playing dress up with her granddaughters.
Patty was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing with her friends in book clubs. She was very artistic, enjoying home decorating, painting, sewing and crafts. Patty was a problem solver by nature and she lent a compassionate shoulder to many.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 38 years, George R. “Toby” Miller Jr., whom she married April 28, 1984, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Warren, Pa.; two children: Julie Coppersmith and husband, Kyle, and Adam G. Miller and wife, Cassidy; four grandchildren: Landon, Charlotte and Harper Coppersmith and Russell Miller, all of Warren, Pa.; step-father, Dean Clark of Columbus, Ohio; five siblings: Darlene King of Florida, Daniel Alcorn of Columbus, Ohio, Tina Chester of Marysville, Ohio, Debbie Breeze, Stephanie Morris and husband, Jerry, all of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a stepfather, James Martin.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, Pa., on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 2 to 4 and. 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, Pa., with Father Stephen Schreiber, pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Raymond Wiehagen. Interment will be in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
