Rev. Kenneth L. Craker, 85, of Galion, OH and formerly of Sugar Grove and Pleasantville, PA passed away Friday, March 25, 2022.
He was born on March 4, 1937 in Washington Co., PA and was the son of George and Josephine (Moyer) Craker. He was previously married to Valerie Ann (Gage) Craker, September of 1958 and she preceded him in November of 1995. He then married Jane (Dickey) Shaffer Craker on July 1, 1997 and she survives.
Ken worked as a machinist for Marlin Rockwell-SKF for almost 40 years, where he served as Union President for 12 years. Ken also served as a pastor previously at the Wrightsville Community Church in Wrightsville, PA. He also did a lot of pulpit supply for several churches and served as chaplain for the National Parks in Warren Co., PA. He was a member of “Men with Vision” and volunteered for Love INC. He formerly attended Titusville Free Methodist church in Titusville, PA and currently attended Wesley Chapel in Galion.
In addition to his current wife, Jane, he is also survived by children, Lori (Stephen) Fox of Russell, PA, Denny (Michelle) Craker of Anderson, SC, Lisa (Todd) Onink of Clarksville, TN, Melinda (Stephen) Hart of Titusville, PA, Valerie (Joe) Stafford of Galion and Peggy (Brad) Shafer of Peru, IN; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; six brothers, Edward, George, Ronald, Francis, Wesley and Gerald Craker and sister, Mabel Miller.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Valerie, he was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Shaffer, brother, Leslie Craker and three sisters, Freda Pytcher, Pauline Dahler and Marlene Leeming.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Cable Hollow Community Church, 3157 Cable Hollow Road, Russell, PA 16345, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, with Pastors Larry Little and David Diffenderfer officiating. Burial will follow at Wesleyan Cemetery in Sugar Grove, PA.
