Daniel J. Sabat

He was born August 27, 1960 in Warren, Pa., a son of the late Joseph and Millie Woodley Sabat.

Dan was raised and educated in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1978. He then enlisted into the U. S. Navy and served from 1979 to 1982. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Warren where he worked for the Warren Times Observer in the press room. In 1984, Dan moved to Corry where he worked for Tonard Manufacturing, Corry Manufacturing and most recently for The Corry Journal.

He was a member of the Warren JC’s and enjoyed golfing, gardening and volunteering for the local youth sports programs.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Sabat.

Dan is survived by his wife, Kathy A. Smith Sabat, whom he married May 19, 1984 in Corry; a daughter, Lorie Willenbrook and her husband Mark of Lancaster, Pa.; three sons, Matthew, Jordan and Alex Sabat all of Corry, Pa.; two sisters, Darla Sabat of Warren, Pa., and Darcy Sabat of Pittsburgh, Pa.

He is also survived by three grandchildren, Lana, Chase and Lucas; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
