Casper “Cap/Poody” Goodrich, of 5 Weeks Road Panama, NY and 510 Main Street, Bear Lake, PA went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2022.
He was born February 12, 1943 to Marian and Vincent Goodrich at Jamestown General. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Patricia who he married on April 13 1963. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was preceded in death by an infant brother Paul in 1936.
He is survived by his second wife Norma, whom he married on May 2 2009. He is survived by two sons: Aaron and Eric (Jessica); and a daughter Angela Fuller (George) from Godfrey, Illinois. He has two step daughters: Tena Cochran (Harold) and Melissa Carter from Bear Lake. He is survived by 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 step-grandsons.
He attended Panama High School until 9th grade. He went to work at Clymer Bag Company to help support himself and his parents. He then went to work at Larimer Norton in Akeley, PA making Louisville slugger bats retiring in April of 2014 after working there for over 50 years. He built boring machines for Akeley Troy and Galeton plants. He was responsible for maintenance at Akeley. As they say “Jack of all trades but master of many.”
He attended Victory Tabernacle Church in Jamestown NY with Pastor Bill Crosby who will be officiating the service.
Viewing will be at Spitzer Funeral home Clymer, NY on Friday, January 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will take place at Panama Methodist church on January 8 with visitation starting at 10 a.m. for one hour viewing, and the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Clymer Harmony Townline Cemetery.
