Thomas J. Harvey, 75, of Blockville Watts Flatts Road, Ashville, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at home with his loving wife by his side.
Tom was born on January 4, 1946 in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Harley J. and Katherine Algren Harvey.
Tom worked for Wulf Trucking in Cattaraugus, N.Y. and he was a cement truck operator for JMI Concrete in Falconer, N.Y. and retired from there.
Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and he was a cook. He was a former member of the Moose in East Randolph and enjoyed the Adult Daycare.
Tom enjoyed his in-laws and helping his father-in-law on his farm. He enjoyed listening to country music, cutting wood, birdwatching and his two dogs: Jingle and Emma. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his caregivers Leonie and Jane.
Tom is survived by his wife, Louise C. Carlson Harvey whom he married on January 31, 1989 in Randolph, N.Y.; two sons: Wayne (Emily) Harvey of Falconer, N.Y. and Burt (Beth) Harvey of Otto, N.Y.; his daughter: Fran (Mark) Walters of Allegany, N.Y.; a stepson: Michael (Brandi) Bergman of Randolph, N.Y.; a step-daughter: Amy Bergman (Adam Carlson) of Ashville, N.Y.; his brother: Jim (Betsy) Harvey of Randolph, N.Y.; his sister: Linda Loomis of Randolph, N.Y.; 7 grandchildren: Krystal (Chad) Gramstad, Sarah Harvey, Ashlyn Harvey, Colista Harvey, Carter Harvey, Jesse Szablewski, Jr., Cooper Bergman and Ridley Bergman; two great-grandchildren: Erickson and Karson Gramstad; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Kenneth Har-vey and a close cousin: Norman Moon.
Services will be held privately.
