Gerry R. “Skinner” Littlefield

Gerry R. “Skinner” Littlefield, 91, of Tiona, Pa., died following a recent illness on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Warren General Hospital.

Gerry was born May 18, 1930, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Claude and Bertha Littlefield.

He worked for many years as a pipeline welder for the National Transit Company, and later Pennzoil, from which he retired.

He and his wife, who survives, were life members of the Tiona United Methodist Church. Gerry donated a lot of his time and efforts helping with projects around the church. As a man of many interests, he raced dirt track for 32 years, he enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and nearly 50 years of hunting trips out west and Alaska. He had taken many elk, mule deer, antelope, and enjoyed those trips with his many friends.

He was a man that was always ready to give anyone a hand if they needed. Gerry loved his family, his friends, and especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gerry is survived by his wife, Helen M. Whipple Littlefield, whom he married in 1948; four children: Terry L. Littlefield of Warren, Shannon L. Littlefield of Tiona, Darlene L. Littlefield and husband, Terry of Tiona, and Troy L. Littlefield and wife, Tammy, also of Tiona; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by four sons: Rodney L., Gerry L., Randall L., and Arthur L. Littlefield; a daughter-in-law, Susan Littlefield; and seven siblings: Glendora, Winifred, Dorel-las, Merle, William, Bernard and Luella.

Friends and family will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, on Monday, Dec. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 28, with retired pastor, Marty Reynolds and Ruth Ann Varrrato, pastor, Tiona United Methodist Church, officiating.
