Betty Jane Reitz

Betty was the daughter of the late Frank and Betty Sturdevant. She was a life-long area resident.

Betty was a nurse’s aide at the Warren Manor for 24 years from which she re-tired. She enjoyed golfing with her husband, walking at Betts Park, bowling, and working on jigsaw puzzles. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband, Robert L. Reitz, whom she married on Sept. 7, 1974; two daughters: Amy (Patrick) Elmquist, of Ludlow and Amber Reitz and fiance, David Downey, of Clarendon; four sisters: Shirley (Curt) Knapp of Clarendon, Clara (Steve) Lowry of Clarendon, Laura (Nancy) Hultberg of Youngsville, and Trudy (Rick) Richmond of Maine; four brothers: Donald (Debbie) Sturdevant of Warren, Frank (Lynn) Sturdevant, of Warren, Randy (Tina) Rasmussen of Ohio, and Larry Hultberg of Washing-ton, D.C.; five grandchildren: Jeremiah and Harry Lyon, Andrea, Jasmine and Danielle Brown; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father, Paul Hultberg; and stepmother, Twila Hultberg; a son, Robert Reitz Jr.; a niece, Candi Mathis; and a great grandson, Dominic Fisher.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, from 4-7 p.m., at the PetersonBlick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave, E., Warren. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Barnes Cemetery.
