Barbara Willings

Barbara Willings, 67 , of 1790 Keller Road, Warren, passed away after a lengthy illness at UPMC Hamot in Erie, on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.

Barbara was born on Jan. 8, 1954, to the late Leonard and Doris Galnet Eastman. For many years she took pride in working as an CNA at The Rouse Home. She was also well known by many for her service with a smile at Hueys Place and Downunder in Youngsville, Pa. She was also referred to as “The Polka Queen” and enjoyed host-ing parties for the many members and friends of the “Polka-Your-Eye-Out” polka club. She also loved spending time with her grandkids playing games, doing puzzles and watching the Buffalo Bills. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially Kay Anderson Launer, loved enjoying her pets and watching wildlife in her yard, especially deer. She was most proud of raising two daughters in the house their father built almost 50 years ago and above all being beloved “Grammy “ to their children: Kaden Miller and Bailey Dyke.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Willings in 1979; her brother, Daniel Eastman; her mother-in-law Ellis and Mary Billsborough; and father-in-law, Eugene Willings.

Barbara is survived by her children: Jennifer Willings of Warren, and Lori (Scott) Dyke, also of Warren; her sister Judy (David) Dunham of Sheffield; and her grandchildren: Bailey Dyke and Kaden Miller.

Per her request, no funeral services will be held. Instead, a celebration of life in the form of another ”Polka-Your-Eye-Out” polka party will be held in the near future. Details and a GoFundMe will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made in her honor by sending a check to Warren General Cancer Center at 202 Crescent Park, Warren PA 16365. Friends may leave e-condolences at the nelsonfuneralhome.net.
