John E. Villarreal

John E. Villarreal, 67, of Sheffield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at his home.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1953, in Hawaii, the son of John L. Villarreal and Shirley Jackson Villarreal.

After high school, he attended Sacramento State where he majored in psychology. John continued his employment as a chef. He loved to cook and made bountiful dishes for family and friends.

John was a Christian man who made the best of life and was always kind to others. He loved the Beatles and Rock ‘N Roll. If you were John’s friend, you were a friend for life. He has close friend with which he has kept in contact for more than 50 years. John was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. He and his wife enjoyed being a part of the Sheffield community and made a vast amount of friends.

Left behind to cherish John’s memory are his sisters, Elizabeth Middleton and Terrie Blake; his nephews and nieces: Jeff, Laurie and Mike Middle-ton, Jessica Villarreal and Jeremy Villarreal and their children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Michael Villarreal; his wife, Marjorie Villarreal; and his daughter, Sarah Villarreal.

Burial will take place at the Cherry Grove Cemetery and will be announced at a later date.

John’s family would like to thank his faithful neighbors and close friends who checked on him daily. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Borden Funeral Home, PO Box 4, Sheffield, PA 16347 to help defray final expenses.
