Dorothy D. Stewart

She was born September 19, 1951, in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Carlyle and Lucille Smith Fitch.

She was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Corry Area High School in 1970. After graduation Dorothy worked several jobs in the Corry Area. Before retiring, she worked at Warren Manor as a certified nurses aide.

Dorothy was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Corry, Pa. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary and participated in many church activities. Dorothy enjoyed making crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Thomas Whippo.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Kenneth C. Stewart, whom she married on Sept. 28, 1991, in Corry, Pa. She is also survived by sisters: Carol Craig and her husband, David of Corry, Pa., Mona Hunzinger and her husband, Perry of Warren, Pa., and Dolly Burlingame and her husband, Jim of New Castle, Pa..; two brothers: Albert Whippo and his wife, Sandy of Ringold, Pa., and Thomas Whippo and his wife, Carolyn of Hawaii.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service there at noon. Pastor Shannon Hannah will officiate.

Inurnment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corry Church of the Nazarene, 246 Marion St., Corry, PA 16407.
