Dale E. (Gomer) Gourley

Born April 30, 1946, in Jamestown, N.Y., he was the son of the late Herbert H. and Nellie Springer Gourley. After graduating high school, Dale served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966-68. He was employed as a bus driver for 38 years at Decker’s Transportation and D&R Transportation. He was a member of the AMVETS in Sugar Grove and the Sugar Grove American Legion Post 758.

Dale is survived by his wife, Judith Look Frank Gourley, whom he married April 16, 1971; four children: Tammy (Todd) Olson of Atlantic Beach, N.C., Tracy (Brad) Pearson of Pleasantville, Pa., Todd Gourley of Sugar Grove, Pa., and Tina (Reed) Johnson of Sugar Grove, Pa.; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Gourley; a sister, RoseMary Henry; and a daughter-in-law, Tina Gourley.

McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. of Sugar Grove and Youngsville have been entrusted with all arrangements. A memorial service will be held at the Sugar Grove AMVETS on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m.
